Creating a trap with beer can help reduce the number of slugs in your garden. Bury a jar in the garden with it’s mouth open and level to the ground. After you have placed the jar in the soil, fill with beer to approximately one inch of the top. The slugs will be drawn to the beer and then drown in the jar.

When you water too much, then you can actually harm your plants due to the fact that the roots can’t get the nutrients they need. Before watering your plants outdoors, check to see if there is rain in the forecast. Depending on the weather, you might want to skip watering for the day.
